Knife Casting

I TALKED TO YOU AT THE GRANTS PASS HOME SHOW A COUPLE OF WEEKS A GO . I ASKED ABOUT PATCHING HOLES IN THE  ALUMINUM CASTING I USE FOR KNIFE HANDLES . I USED THE FINE SANDING DUST FROM THE BELT SANDER TO FILL THE CASTING FLAWS AND THEN DROPPED SOME OF YOUR GLUE INTO THAT . IT SEEMS TO WORK GREAT . WHEN I PAINTED THE HANDLE AFTER USING "BODY PUTTY" YOU COULD SEE A DIFFERENCE IN THE COLOR OF THE PAINT WHERE THE FILLER WAS .  BUT WITH THE MIRACLE GLUE THERE IS VERY LITTLE DIFFERENCE IF ANY BETWEEN THE CASTING AND FILL . IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW THERE WAS A PATCH YOU WOULD NEVER SEE IT . THIS WILL SAVE ME MUCH TIME AND GRINDING . THANKS . ONE THING I DID NOTICE WAS THAT IT TOOK THE GLUE ABOUT 1/2 HOUR TO SET COMPLETELY . MUST HAVE SOMETHING TO WITH THE LARGER GRAINS IN THE SANDING DUST ??
